SuperLoads Super Project: JD-101

Transformer

Cargo: 1 Transformer / 2 units
Piece 1 (series unit), 343 x 145 x 182 (LWH, inch), 182 MT / 400,000 lbs
Piece 2 (exciter unit), 421 x 147 x 186 (LWH, inch), 201 MT / 444,000 lbs

Upon arrival by ship from Beijing China these units were unloaded from the ship and placed upon a storage barge, shortly thereafter they were loaded on the trailers on the barge for truck transport from Vancouver to the final destination upon obtaining permits from MOT. The necessary permits were never issued as the Gross Weight exceeded bridge limits without regard to the number of axles. A new alternate solution was required and Suntrans International, Inc., rose to the occasion and was able to deliver the cargo to its final destination.
